Talk about Smack!
I just found this video that I have been dying to have a link to. I am always trying to explain to people how Jim Rome got famous. If you don't know, it was of course the Rome vs. Chris...err.. Jim Everett incident, and now I have a link on my blog so that everyone who didn't know can see the video for themselves.

It has been a while since I have seen that clip but it still looks like a staged event to me. It was a nice ratings ploy by Rome. Also, wasn't ESPN 2 a new station when that happened and only available in select markets? I remember watching that replay on Sportscenter at the time and thinking to myself, "I wish I had that channel."
okay, i have no idea who those folks are, but it was funny. i dont get it though.
i remember that event like few other. which is sad. but as a rams fan, i saw the clip, and thought, what an ass, i'm glad that chrissy stood up to him. now, as a rome fan, i enjoy the moment on both sides. seriously, you're a pro athlete and you can't take an interviewer talking crap to you? you don't like it, leave. if you're going to jump him, you better really handle your business, which chrissy didn't.
I agree with Jimmie. Still looks staged. I'm sorry but if you are a professional athlete you do more than just flip a table and push a guy. It has to be staged ‘cause no one threw a punch. He has Jim on the ground and takes way to long of a pause for the stage hand to step in. That doesn’t make it any less funny. I’m suppressed more pros have kicked Jim Rome’s ass.
